Healing Trauma and Promoting Wellness

through Equine Facilitated Therapy

Moore Courage Healing & Wellness is a non-profit organization offering equine facilitated therapy in North Carolina. Established in 2024, we focus on healing trauma and promoting wellness through equine facilitated therapy, aiming to address holistic healing and breaking the cycles of intergenerational trauma. Our unique combination of services aims to provide support and assistance to individuals in need, provided by trained and certified professionals in a safe and dynamic environment facilitated by horses. We believe that horses can serve as powerful agents of change, and we are committed to helping our clients find hope, healing, and renewal through equine therapy. Jasmine E. Moore

Jasmine E. Moore was born in the Bronx, New York, to a Dominican father and Afro-Latina Mother. She spent the first five years of her life in the Dominican Republic and returned to the States with Spanish being her first language. She lived in New York until 2017 when she graduated from Stony Brook University with her Master’s in social work. Mrs. Moore is currently the Director of Social Work at Western Carolina Rescue Ministries, the largest rescue mission in Western North Carolina serving men, women, and families dealing with mental health, substance use, homelessness, and immigration issues. She also serves as the Board Chair of Sistas Caring 4 Sistas, Inc. a local 501(c)(3), a Maternal Health organization that serves Black women and infants with a Social Justice lens through community-based Doulas. Mrs. Moore is the owner and CEO of Moore Courage LLC, an organization that provides social work and consulting services to parents with child welfare involvement; birthed after she worked at DSS as a Foster Care Social Worker and witnessed systemic racism in the BIPOC families she served. She is a student at The HERD Institute completing her certification in the Spring of 2024 to provide Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy to individuals who have experienced trauma and seek healing and wholeness outside of a traditional therapy session. Jasmine is a strong advocate with embodied experience and advocates for inclusivity and social justice by leading conscious conversations. She is knowledgeable and compassionate, showing up in spaces to educate and inspire eager listeners about the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion. Mrs. Moore is married and lives in Asheville, N.C., raising her two beautiful girls.

Our team is trained and certified, committed to providing the highest quality equine facilitated therapy to individuals and families in need. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction, or other challenges, we are here to help you find the courage and strength to overcome your obstacles and live the life you were meant to live.
